About part-time work
At Nagasaki University, international students who stay in Japan less than three months do not qualify for part-time work. (However, students who have resided in Japan by attending a Japanese school or other institute may be excluded.) When you work part-time, please acquire the necessary “Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted” permit.
*Students are not allowed to work part-time during temporary absences from school even if they have acquired a “Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted” permit.
*Activities associated with the entertainment industry are prohibited. Snacks, nightclubs, bars, and cafes that require attending to customers by serving food and drinks or by washing dishes and cleaning is also strictly prohibited.
